Midwestern Dental began operations in Michigan in 1981 and quickly became a pioneer in the Managed Care Dental Industry. Working with health care professionals and business consultants we realized that in order to improve patient care while managing costs the total dental care delivery system needed to be managed. As a result, Midwestern Dental made a commitment to redesign the way dentistry was both delivered and insured.
Maximum Preventive Care
MDP was at the forefront in embracing the idea that identifying and treating dental disease in its earliest stages is the least expensive, most cost effective form of treatment. MDP also embraced the idea that patients should be able to receive dental care when they needed it, not only when they could afford it. Our benefit programs were designed to minimize any disincentives to receiving care such as deductibles, copays and annual maximums.
